We are looking for a talented ​ Pipeline TD with enthusiasm to join our great team on the exciting new project, Animated Feature TAD 4!!
You will be responsible for helping to maintain the efficient workflow for ​our ​Animated ​Feature.

WE NEED YOU TO BE ABLE TO DO:
  • Interacting with the artist, production teams and other departments to effectively solve problems and escalate any issues.
  • Help define efficient workflows and promote best practises for shows and the facility.
  • Apply technical fixes to scenes to pass down the pipe.
  • Program tools to improve the workflow of artists.
  • Work closely with the Technical Director, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining departmental tools for use on different processes.
  • You will be working with a wide range of people, 3D animators, riggers, modelers, lighters and compositors, improving upon our existing pipeline as well as liaising with the engineering and production teams in other areas of the company.
  • Writing and modifying computer code to solve problems related to art or productivity as they arise on a project by project basis.
  • Act as a liaison for communicating technical issues to Production, R&D and IT.
  • Develop department tools and processes to meet production needs.
  • Test and debug code and tools to ensure stability and usability.
  • Ensure tools and processes meet the overall pipeline framework.
  • Work with the Head of Pipeline to prioritize production needs.
  • Update existing department code and tools to established coding standards.
  • Educate artists on how to work with the pipeline and department tools.
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently in a fully remote environment, with that comes the supreme individual responsibility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and maintain your own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Great team player, create a collaborative and welcoming environment.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workload and within budgets, adhere to the production schedule and deliver completed assignments on time.
  • Align with the style, sensibility of the project and the Director vision.

WE WILL MAKE THE PERFECT MATCH IF YOU HAVE:
  • Experience in animation pipelines. Preferably experience in the lighting and compositing departments.
  • A great general knowledge of Maya.
  • A love of film making.
  • Solid understanding of Animation production pipelines.

  • Experience in the following Software packages is Essential: 
1. Python and PyQt/PySide.
2. One or more DCC packages (Maya, Nuke, Houdini, etc)
​3. Shotgrid (or similar).

  • Experience in the following Software packages is a plus:
1. C, C+, C#, Java, Mel, TCL ​or Visual Basic.
​2. Django or similar web frameworks.

  • Ability to take feedback constructively and implement it effectively, to reach the quality desired.
  • Anticipation and quick reaction for problem solving.
  • Demonstrate great autonomy and proactivity in your work.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and collaborative skills.
